Mama Lali for 3 weeks!

Mama Lali is visiting! What a treat for Kenji and Keo! Patisseries, Boulangeries, and Bon Bon shops  24/7!
We spent the evening in Paris on Bastille Day watching the fireworks at the Tour Eiffel while Broadway musicals were playing throughout the park.
I took my mom and the boys to Versailles..it had been 10 years since we were here last when Kenji was 1 and Stephy -doll (little sister) was 10 herself!
 Versailles!

Smiling photos, by the flowers was something I wanted to get a picture of...although they were interested in other things...
Mama Lali and Keo-nut looking so very French by park benches and iron gates.

and Kenji strolling, looking pleasantly mature :)
We saw the Tour de France on Sunday! Will be posting tomorrow!

Breath

Dear Blacksburg  Blog, Thank you for hanging in there with me. Thanks for not giving up on me. You kept nagging at me when I didn't write. You'd come knocking on my door when the weeks went by and I didn't write. It was like missed appointments. Hey - it was like therapy sessions. And now that "the event" is over, your still here doing your follow up work, still knocking. Why? Cause you know that even though we have been through something and seem "fine" with smile on our faces, our insides are upside down and inside out. And so follow through we must till we regain our stability inside and out. Here is a flower for you and all those that have supported us through this year. It's going to be a year soon that we left Airport Acres, Blacksburg. One year soon. Thank you to my friends and family for strength and support. For emails, blog posts and phone calls. Your little notes have made us hold on that much more.

A flower for you.

A moveable feast

'If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.' ~ Ernest Hemingway
And so it will then, I say! I think Paris will always be with us.
We will feast on History..Was there really a Prince..? and if there wasn't, who thought of that wonderful street name!
Art...
Culture of the people...(and look at the symmetry of bikes and arches!)

The Cuisine..
let me try to translate this beautiful text that makes all my guilty pleasures go away.
"Macarons (those little french round cakes), cakes, etc...
yummmmmmmm
(something about) Taste Buds and Emotions..
There is no harm in doing yourself goodness.
good good and re-good..
Being " Gourmand" (loving food) is Essential..
Strawberry tartes, Caramel Eclairs and Rasberry Crumbles, chocoalate cake..
Yummmmm, another little bite..."
and more..
well, it doesn't sound as nice in English...but rest assure it's beautiful.

And as we continue to get healthier we try not to miss an opportunity to look around us at all the simple pleasure of life that pass our eyes, this moveable feast we really are in.
