The Feve, the Galette and the Crown.

This is the Galette de Rois...

The Galette de Rois comes with a Crown...

You get the Crown IF you get the Feve...

The Feve.. is hidden in the Galette de Rois...

My very good friend Michelle explains it all, click here!!!
I met Michelle in Bath, England, she is English. Her husband Francois and JM did their Phd together, he is French. They kept Kenji the night Keo was born, and now they have two beautiful children themselves AND they are now living in France as of this past June!!!
Visit their blog and their time in France!
 Happy January!

This sure sounds like a Louisiana King Cake, without the flamboyant colors. Maybe Steve & Michelle will know...

John, I think it is the same as a King Cake, look at this wikipedia link:

Mmhhh, Jean-Marc and Our Daily Bread make delicious ones...we had both a year ago. Makes me want to run right away to get one. The almond paste is lovely inside it, very different from the Koenigsbrot sold in Switzerland at this time of year which consists of round buns stuck together in a circle. The little surprise inside one of the buns also gives you the honor of wearing the crown.
